Serving the Community!
Here at Stanton SoCal, we love our volunteers!!
Stanton SoCal is a non-profit, donor-funded organization, which means that we operate thanks to our volunteers - those who love our ministry enough to take some time to be part of the team in any way they can.
From making gift bags and baby boxes for our clients, to filling our mobile with snacks or cleaning it, and helping send out a mailer along with so much more, our volunteers mean so much to us and we are so thankful for them.
We know their heart for our ministry is grand, and we know their heart to serve the Lord is even greater! As much as we would love to claim them ours, these volunteers simply follow the example of Christ as stated in Matthew 20:28, “even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”.
This last week three of Stanton SoCal’s Volunteers got the chance to serve their communities at VBS!
Alexis one of our Stanton Youth Ambassadors, served at her church’s VBS this last week. Alexis attends Hillside Community Church in Wrightwood, which is one of our church partners! From our interactions with Alexis, we know she stands on truth, and she does so gracefully. She has a heart for the most vulnerable, and she wants to serve in any way she can because she knows what God says is right and just. We can’t even begin to imagine the amount of fun she had with her church family, serving alongside them and serving the families there. We are so happy to witness the work that the Lord is doing in her life.
Henna and Erika prepping their marketplace for new helpers!
Henna one of Stanton’s youngest volunteers, also got to serve the community last week. Henna, who you may know alongside her sister Abby, loves the ministry work of Stanton SoCal. Henna shares her God given gifts i the office and at community events, sharing the truth that she knows God calls us to stand on and doing so with great compassion. We were happy to know that Henna was able to share these gifts with our church partner, Calvary Chapel Victorville, during their Egypt VBS as a teacher’s assistant alongside Erika!
Erika, one of Stanton’s supporters and monthly donors, served at her church as a marketplace leader! Erika not only supports Stantonn financially and prayerfully, but has volunteered to clean our mobile so that our clients may have a nice and welcoming environment to be in. Erika loves the Lord, she knows His Word, she loves His people, and she loves to serve them in every way. We love having women like Erika pour into our ministry with her wisdom, experience, time and love.
We are so thankful and so blessed to have Alexis, Henna, and Erika on the Stanton SoCal team. We are so happy to know that The Church is built up by women like this. The impact each of them, as individuals, is greatly unmatched, but the impact they, alongside others, together is what allows Stanton SoCal to operate, serving the most vulnerable in our community.
