May We Never Lose Our Wonder

By Brenda Higgins, Executive Director

In the course of getting up to speed, training, and immersing myself in life-affirming medical care, I’ve spent some time at a life-affirming medical center for women in the Inland Empire. In the course of my time there this past month, my vision and dream for ‘brick and mortar’ health clinics, replacing Planned Parenthood in the high desert and all over Southern California was solidified and reaffirmed.

I watched several ultrasounds in which a mother saw and heard the beating heart of her baby for the first time. I saw young mothers who wondered how they would cope with a second or third child and saw them receive resources and support that bolstered their faith in their ability to care for their baby. I saw a mother who went to Planned Parenthood and heard lies about how the abortion pill they gave her was irreversible, and saw her receive the truth and the medical treatment to reverse it. I saw the baby of a mother who was not sure if she was pregnant, yet we saw on ultrasound the fingers and toes, spinal chord and beating heart of a baby that was 17 weeks gestation.

The awe and wonder of a heart that started beating, fingers and toes that formed, in spite of any of our knowledge or effort, may we never lose that. The awe and wonder of a divine design and process that can only be the result of a divine designer. May we never lose that.

Wide eyed, mystified, may we be just like a child, staring at the beauty of our King. May we never lose our wonder.

"He is your praise and He is your God, who has done these great and awesome things for you which your eyes have seen." Deuteronomy 10:21

It is foolish and deceived hearts that fail to see the wonder of God in His creation of life in the womb. Psalm 14:1 reads, "The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, they have committed abominable deeds. There is nothing more abominable and corrupt than interrupting the design of God, the formation of life.

We will continue to stand in the gap for these little ones, the ones Jesus called ‘the least of these’. The Stanton Mobile will be assisting Assure Pregnancy Center, Jun 4th and 5th while they move from one location in Fontana to another. After that, we will be resuming ministry to the abortion-bound women in front of Planned Parenthood in the high desert.

Please contact us if you are interested in working with us, impacting women who are considering abortion, or if you are a medical professional who wants to become involved in life-affirming treatment. We will be hosting several upcoming training and information seminars. You can also partner with us financially, and pray. Pray that God send laborers to the harvest, and that He continues to use us to save those being lead away to death. (Proverbs 24:11)
